Dr. Lethuy Nguyen O.D. ( goes by Tanya)

Dr. Lethuy Nguyen O.D., known to her patients as Dr. Tanya, has been practicing Optometry for almost 25 years. Upon graduating from Optometry school, she opened a solo practice in Westminster, CA where she worked for 15 years. There was a high demand for vision care among the patient population in the area and her practice quickly became a success in the community.
In 2003, Dr. Nguyen O.D. opened another location in Irvine, CA to be near her growing children. At the time, her 3 sons were aged 8, 5, and 6 months and her priority was to balance her time with work and family. During lunch, she would volunteer her time at her kids' elementary school because she felt that, as a parent, it was important for her to contribute time to their education. She continued to enjoy Optometry for another 4 years in her neighborhood and then sold both practices to join an Ophthalmology group in Diamond Bar and Chino. Dr. Nguyen O.D. is very passionate about helping patients with deteriorating vision maintain their sight. During this time, she joined Southern California College of Optometry as a part-time associate professor. |
Wanting to share all of the experiences of both Optometry and Ophthalmology, she recently decided to leave the Ophthalmology practice and in 2014 took ownership of Mintz Family Optometry. Dr. Tanya appreciated that the office was family oriented and could see that patients felt at home with the staff who knew them by name.
Dr Li Chen Li O.D. (to shy to leave picture)
Our office welcomes Dr. Li Chen Li O. D. to our staff. Dr. Li grew up in SoCal, California and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry.
Dr. Li Chen Li O.D. is a glaucoma-certified therapeutic optometrist and she completed her training at the Veteran Affairs(Va) Hudson Valley, Richlin Eye Center and Dorchester House Community health Center in Boston. She later worked at a private office in NYC for 4 years and recently relocated back to Los Angeles with her husband.
Having worked in many different settings, Dr. Li Chen Li O.D. is experienced in full scope eye care that includes ocular disease management, contact lens fitting, and pediatric care. Dr. Li is fluent in Mandarin and proficient in clinical Spanish. She is committed to giving her best care and establishing long-lasting relationships with her patients.
Her sweet demeanor makes everyone feel very welcome and she is a great listener.

DR. SEAN MA O.D. (OUR NEWEST ADDITION TO THE PRACTICE)
Sean Ma O.D. is a such a pleasant and friendly optometrist and is a wonderful addition to our practice. He attended UC San Diego with a bachelor in science in Human Biology and then received his Doctor of Optometry license from Southern California College of Optometry. Our office is truly enjoying having him on staff. He has developed expertise in many areas such as contact lens fittings, lasik comangement, myopia management as well as general areas of optometry.

Terry Parker, Optometric Technician

Terry has been providing services at our Upland office since 1983. She graduated from Fisher Junior College in Boston, Massachusetts, with an Associate in Science Degree and was awarded Technician of the Year. Terry has always held herself to the highest of professional standards. As a technician, her responsibilities encompass a variety of skills such as insurance consultant, optical dispenser and contact lens technician. But that's just the surface.
Behind the scenes, Terry is the soft, rational voice, who navigates, and keeps us all abreast of, the constantly changing terrain of insurance requirements and benefits. She is a tremendous asset to our team. |
Michelle Watson, Optician

Michelle is a highly trained Optician, fully accredited by the American Board of Opticianry. She has been assisting Dr. Mintz' Upland patients since 1984 and is expert in the selection, fitting and repair of all types of eyewear. It's obvious that Michelle truly loves what she does. Her positive, outgoing personality will make you feel right at home. And she will adjust your glasses to fit like a glove. Over the years, she has become a part of everyone's family and our patients look forward to seeing her year after year.

Vanessa Rodriguez, Dispensing Optician
Our newest addition to our practice is Vanessa. She is bilingual and always willing to help with her sweet personality. She also has experience as a technician for other practices. She is absorbing the knowledge us long timers are giving her on the many intricacies of the optical field and is willing to pitch in wherever needed. Please welcome her!
